Anil Patel

After completing his A levels, Anil taught English, Maths and Biology at a school in Nairobi. In the early seventies, he studied Chemistry at the Sardar Patel University in Gujerat, where incidentally he also captained the college cricket team, before coming to the UK in 1975. He worked for the post office for 5 years before joining an office supplies company as Commercial Director for a further 13. In 1993, he started his own successful business as a postmaster which he sold off in 2016. He has been a member of the Teddington Town Cricket Club since 1975 and an honorary Vice President at the present time. He is a qualified cricket umpire. Education and student welfare are very close to his heart.
