Chandrakant Shah BSc, MIChemE
After completing his A levels in Mombasa, Chandrakant taught at Oshwal Boys’ Secondary School in Nairobi before coming to the UK in 1970. He graduated from Teeside University in 1974, having completed a 4-year course in Chemical Engineering, after which he spent over 35 years in the oil and gas industry on North Sea projects and other onshore facilities with Shell, BP, H & G, Aker and M W Kellogg, responsible for budgets, costs and forecasting. He is a Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. Now retired, he takes a keen interest in Duplicate Bridge and is the Treasurer of the Ilford Bridge Club. A keen DIY person, he also does some private tutoring in Maths.
